Here is the biggest lie about the “cool girl” who is “one of the guys” mindset.

You aren’t.

This is something that FtM trans* can tell more about than me. About their various struggles and problems with them getting acceptance. With them doing a LOT more stuff than most of the “cool girls”

Also the “cool girl” mindset actually interferes with FtM trans* getting accepted.

As here is the thing: they just want to fuck you.

You are just eye candy. Eye candy they can say terrible thing towards.

Eye candy that is nonthreatening, and somebody they have a chance with.

You are their backup girlfriend.

You are their consolation prize.

You are not one of them, and more than a box a donuts I have for later consumption is a human friend. No matter how much I talk to the box of donuts and profess how much of an awesome friend that box of donuts is, and how good it is for sticking with me. Which uh… is not a creepy thing for me to do.

You are there… for should they fail at all else.
